Something Big is Coming

Ny Farm Finder- my current lifeline

I know this post is coming to you later in the week, and I hope you’ll forgive me. I have been in my turtle shell and here’s why:

I have started looking for land. Equipped with a binder (LOVE binders) of information, a notebook, and google maps, I looked at two beautiful places to lease this weekend. This feels like a new amount of choice for me. Of course I have restrictions (budget), but now the weighing of options that have only existed in my course work have come to life. I now have to consider how close I want to be to the nearest town or market, my readiness to grow in the field and a high tunnel, and my readiness in general to take this leap.

It has felt safe to retreat into my shell, but I don’t know if it truly is. What if, by letting you all see what questions I am trying to answer, I feel more brave, instead of insulated?
